PHILIPPINE EMBASSY ADVISORY

To : The Filipino community in Thailand

Re : Political tension in Bangkok

Due to the escalating political tension in Bangkok the past three days, the Embassy would like to advise the community to take the following precautionary measures:

1. Do not take sides in the ongoing political crisis;

2. Refrain from going near any of the rally sites or its vicinity; and

3. With the present tense situation, it is best to stay at home, as much as possible.

Please be guided accordingly.

Oh, thanks, Master...

And why do I feel you are putting an eye to comments that may relate to this?

Good work for being relevant...I believe it is a must...

And, you are actually keeping my mouth strapped. But, really, really, do you think, Master, that we cannot have a piece to tell the world that what is happening right now is seemingly so familiar to us, Filipinos?

People are starting to talk, I like to talk too especially in SP and not in any other hellhole forums like the one I have come across with...

I have a stupendous vigor to talking my mind out and you know that very well, Master, right?

And I might as well share my numerous experiences lately. When a Thai starts to ask me about where I come from (you know the usual stuff when you cannot speak Thai..he he he), these questions are always a part of the conversation:

1- Why do Philippine people know English well?

2- Why do you look like us?

3- AND...Brace yourself...WHY DO YOU ALSO HAVE MOBS LIKE OURS?

They are thinking big time! And, it is good that I cannot speak Thai well, otherwise I might have said something like, "Well, your last question is actually contingent on...(bleep...bleep...bleep...)

I so hate it when it is not BLAH...BLAH...BLAH...

Of course Ms Tracy everybody does. But I hope that you are also aware of the increasing resentments towards foreigners due to comments in that forum? What do you think could possibly happen due to this?

Yeah, very clever and wise, Master...As I've said, I have seen it now. I now know 100% what you are trying to imply. I get it big time!

So, we, Filipinos, stay put but just be safe and informed in order not to get astray and be hit with stray bullets...he he he.

And, it is correct, if we are not going to follow the ill-liberated tongues of the other farangs, we surely can get something positive from that. We will be adorned by the Thais for being respectful of their affairs. Bow, bow, bow until we can or until those farangs stop rumbling about something they really don't understand. Yes, this is not our fight and better be safe and silent...and calm.

Each one of us have our own problems as well as every country. When one is in crisis like what is happening now here in Thailand, and there is nothing we can do to help, the best is to cross our fingers and pray that peace be restored in this land....also, secure ourselves ...be safe.
