It is election fever once again in our country, and here are some of the latest and interesting developments just happened in recent weeks.
- Many people, prominent people are urging Sen Noy Noy Aquino to run for the president of the Country. They believe that he will win, relying mostly on "Cory Magic".
- Sen Mar Roxas pulled out from the presidential race.
- Pampanga Gov. Among Ed Panlilio withdrew also, giving his pull support to Noynoy.
- Sen Kiko Pangilinan withdrew his plan to run for vice presidency, giving way for a possible Noynoy-Mar tandem.
- Administration candidate is not selected yet, but President GMA wants Vice president Noli to run under their party Lakas-Kampi. However, VP Noli is not yet announcing his plan for 2010.
- MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando is still hoping that he will be selected by Lakas-Kampi as the party's standard bearer to run for presidency.
- Same as Defence Sec Gibo Teodoro. But both are lagging behind on the survey, BF 1% and Gibo is just under 1%.
- Former President Estrada is "99.99%" sure that he will run again, but his fate is still to be decided if he is elligible to run again or not. Sen Ping Lacson urged Erap not to run again and asked him to support Noynoy instead.
- His son Sen Jingoy considers to run for vice presidency. (I cannot imagine our country will be run by actors-father and son tandem, whew!).
- Makati Mayor Jejomar "Rambotito" Binay also pulled out.
- Lastly, Noynoy went to Zamboanga for a retreat. He will announce his plan after he comes back
Know your candidate.
1) Bayani Fernando, MMDA Chairman "Mr. Political Will".
2) Secretary "Gibo" Teodoro, defence chief.
3) Sen Manny Villar, richest senator of the Philippines.
4) Sen Loren Legarda
5) Sen Jamby Madrigal (WTF!)
6) Eddie Villanueva of JIL Movement.
7) Joseph 'Erap" Estrada (No way!)
8) Noli "Kabayan" De castro, VP.
9) Sen Dick Gordon
10) Sen Chiz Escudero (technically he is not eligible because he is under 40yo).
11) Eddie Gil (who?)
12) Brother Mike Velarde of El Shaddai
Exercise your right, vote wisely! Vote Freely!

The heat is on ..! Well for me if Noy-noy Aquino will run for the presidency it will be a greatfight. I will go for Noy-Noy rather than to choose those politicians who were there campaigning eversince and trying to look for holes in the Arroyo government as they ahve these ambitions. The presence of Noy-noy will eradicate these barriers we ahve in teh Pilippines. Still waiting for the big annnouncement..
Let's wait and see! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas.

i dont think anyone from the administration now will win in the next election. sino kayang leader ang makaka control ng corruption sa atin? main reason kaya hindi umaangat ang pilipinas. yung pera natin dun lang sa mga may power napupunta, hindi bumabalik as public service.

(article below from Manila Times)
According to the results of a survey that are still under embargo as of this writing, former President Joseph Estrada is the respondents’ number one choice if elections were held today.
The previous survey top-notchers, notably Vice President Noli de Castro and Sen. Manny Villar, continue to slide—as are the other hopefuls, Senators Mar Roxas and Loren Legarda.
The only other probable candidate whose numbers are also improving is Sen. Chiz Escudero—and to think that he has been maintaining a comparatively low-profile. No “infomercials” for one thing.
The popularity of Estrada among voters has withstood his detention, prosecution, conviction and imprisonment on graft charges. True, the pollsters did not dig into the reasons for his enduring appeal—especially to the masses who fondly call him “Erap.” However, President Gloria Arroyo’s decision to pardon her predecessor is probably seen by many Filipinos as proof of his innocence.
Estrada’s rising survey ratings can also be explained by his frequent trips to the provinces. He refuses to describe these jaunts as campaigning. Instead, he is merely showing his gratitude to the masa throughout the archipelago who continue to idolize him.
These sorties probably won’t fall under the category of “premature electioneering,” but there is little doubt that Estrada’s personal appearances are helping to boost the viability of his candidacy in 2010.
Watttaaaa!!!! unstoppable daw si erap when it comes sa takbuhan? hmmmm....di ba nakakahiya na sinuka na iboboto pa. Well, it's a challenge for all of us kung sino ang karapat-dapat ilagay sa pwesto.
*sigh*
