Marami sa ating tingin sa mga Technical and Vocational schools ay mas mababa kaysa college o unibersidad. Dito sa Thailand, hindi masyado ka tindi ang paningin sa ganitong klaseng institusyon ng edukasyon.

Kagabi, mayroon akong nakitang balita sa national TV tungkol sa isang fair o exhibisyon tungkol sa mga imbensyon ng mga estudyante ng voc/tec school sa Chiang Mai. Duon nila pinakikita ang creativity ng mga estudyante.

Dapat nating tularan ito o dib a bigyan ng bagong direksyon ang gating mga voc/tec schools. Hindi lahat ng Pinoy na nasa voc/tec ay magiging marino. Dapat nating bigyan ng bagong opportunidad ang gating kapwa Pinoy.

Tulungan natin sila sa pamamagitan ng pag-bigay ng mga bagong idea. Tayong mga expat Pinoy ay dapat maging mata nila sa labas ng kapuluan.

Agree po ako jan! Actually, mas skilled tayong mga pinoy pagdating sa mga technical work. Dami nating magagaling na mechanico na nasa ibang bansa. Kahit di man sila nakatapos ng college ay magagaling sila pagdating sa practical na klase ng trabaho. Bilib ako sa mga taong ganyan kasi mahirap ding magsanay para maging experto sa technical na trabaho.

Sa totoo lang, ang ibig kong mangyari ay yung mga technical schools natin ay dapat suportahan ang development ng mga tools and equipment na puedeng ibenta sa ating mga mamamayan. Halimbawa, ang Kubota tractors ay nag develop nang rice harvester. Ang ginawa ng mga Thais eh nag-reverse engineering sila and gumawa ng rice harvester na tulad ng Kubota. Ang advantage dito ay gawa dito ang machina na ito. Masagwa ba ang kumopya?

Sa tingin ko eh hindi. Pagnanakaw ba ito? Labag ba sa intellectual property issues ito? Hindi naman siguro basta't magingat lang tayo na hindi garapalan ang pag-kopya.

If you are planning to have a push cart, the half barrel grill might be a bit too big for you. Therefore the smaller flat surfaced grill and the sloping grill might be better. The sloping grill is good for longanisa and other oily barbecues because the oil does not drip on the charcoal. Therefore there is less smoke and flame.

Hello Mitz, Ang Embassy at gobyerno natin, dapat kumilos sa policy, governance, orginance and regulation. Tulad ng sabi ng isang poster sa self-employed Pinoy thread na hinuhuli ang mga vendors or pinapahirapan ang mga taong ibig mag-negosyo. Siguro, mas gusto nila ang mag-snatch nalang ang mga pobreng kababayan natin.

Hindi nating dapat hintayin ang gubyerno natin na kumilos - lalong-lalo na kasi eleksyon year na ay dadating. Dapat private-sector led ito. Pag pumutok na ito, sasali na sa bandwagon ang gubyerno natin.

I don't know much what to say but the corruption has all the powers to make "bara" and make things difficult for the private sector siguro, titirahin yan sa technicalities, permit on business etc. Or if these will progress soon possible higher taxes will be imposed right then. Pinoy mentality pa, example lang to hah, if one product is saleable, tataasan agad ang presyo kasi nga dami bumibili.....negosyo nga ala namang "kunsyensya". Anyway, I'm just being negative for awhile, sorry but I can't hide how I feel towards our government, this hardened since I came here in Thailand and visited some other countries as why were they able to do things and why we didn't! grrrr:

But, really this is a very good thread, a jumpstart for Filipino small businesses, hindi sa nangongopya at walang originality but true, we can make these as inspiration to create something better that will definitely improve The Filipino means of livelihood. Dami ding possible beneficial results nito as soon as practiced.

I just hope many Pinoys are sharing the good news and some there in Pinas can see these samples or maybe one of us would have an idea to start a business in this line, why not?

Corruption notwithstanding, there will still be opportunity for small people to engage in small businesses. This types of business will mostly fall under the radar. This is going to be like the hidden economy that is powered by lei vendors on EDSA - they do not pay taxes.

I hope that you guys would also post photos of what you see at your end of Thailand.

Remember that Crepe vendor in the Self-employed Pinoys thread, Well I saw a ready-made crepe plate at one of the shops here. All of the photos, by the way were taken by me - somewhat surreptitiously. Anyway, the crepe plate looks like sheet metal (around 4 to 6 millimeters thick) that was cut into a round shape. At the bottom side, they weld a skirt to keep the flame from spilling around the edge of the plate.
