Wants 2 work in Thailand..Questions about how... 3 Years, 6 Months ago
Hi, Im Jois from Manila, Philippines. Mass Comm graduate and recently took up Hotel and Restaurant shortcourse...got a year of housekeeping experience and some room attendant trainings. Plus a couple of working experience as a customer service rep in various call centers.

I came across with this site and thought it's a pretty interesting site to ask questions esp. about living and working in Thailand. My friend and I are planning a trip to Thailand, not for some shopping spree or anything like that..but to find jobs there.

My cousin's Gf is now working in a hotel in Bangkok. She went there last June and in less than a week she already got a job, considering she has no hotel background. She went there with an invitation letter from one of her friends who resides in Bangkok and has a teaching job there.

I am just wondering...kailangn din ba na we have an invitation letter in order to work in Thailand? my cousin's Gf kase said after 30 days, u'll exit Thailand for Cambodia and u need to show some documents from the company who hired you along with the invitation letter daw..so we need to have an invitation letter daw not just a tourist visa or whatsoever... Where can we possibly get an invitation letter? or do we really need that? What are the documents we need to get a job in Thailand? and ano po ba yung Non-immigrant visa? kailangan din po ba yon b4 I can work in Thailand? Please help cuz I really want to work in Bangkok...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE......THANKS!.....

Yes, you need an invite letter from a friend who stays in Thailand. Accdng to new thai travel law. Met a woman who had complete papers including this invitation thingy and all went well with her.

Please access the "Announcement" thread and look for the Pinoy owned hotel discussion. Find the website and contact them, Pinoy nga ang owner and you should at least get a decent if not simple job there.

Yes, you will follow the instructions from Mr. Thames re exits and visa runs coz he knows the law here. However, why go through all that trouble when you could be doing research online and finding a job on the spot? Try that first po, bago magmadaling pumunta dito. Ika nga hinay hinay lang. If you rush through this it can cost you plenty. Make sure you have complete papers before coming here, including authenticated documents like birth certificates, etc. It will save you time and money to be well prepared.

Hi! My name is Juberto from Legazpi City, Philippines.

May i ask, could anyone please help me how to find a job there in Thailand? I've learned, it's easy to find a job there and what excites me and what caught my interest to find a job there is because of the Thai people who are known to be so friendly, helpful and kind.

I have been a teacher in High School and in College for 7 years here in Legazpi City, Philippines. I thought general education subjects mostly in private schools. Afterwhich, i shifted to office work in a computer college as an Assistant Admission Officer then as an On-line Facilitator. I now work as a Human Resources Coordinator in one of the biggest Colleges here in Legazpi City for almost five years.

Looking forward to hear from you anytime soon. Thank you very much and God bless you always.

Bro, welcome po sa SPC. I wish u to have a nice stay here and good luck in your job hunting.

As I've already recommended before to one of our members, try to register and upload your cv to any online job recruitments like monster.com, gulftalent.com, jobstreet.com, etc. Those web site will find employers for you that will match your qualifictions. The website will then send you notification and all you have to do is click to apply, the emplyer will then recieve your CV. After that, it is up to the employer if they want to hire you or not.

Good luck and cheers.
