BlackBerry Bold/Storm or iPhone? 1 Year, 11 Months ago Karma: 54
Hope you can help share your thoughts on this. A friend is wanting to buy a new phone. And it's very confusing for the person on which one to get.

Actual experience about each device would be greatly appreciated.

Ciao SPC!

Anonymous (10/28): the iphone puts the blackberry to shame. I bet blackberry comes out with a touchscreen blackberry device (report)
Anonymous (11/4): you can't beat the iphone touchscreen and the software behind it. (report)
Anonymous (11/13): Blackberry has better email, but eaiser to read email on the iphone. The web is better on the iphone. Volumn is better on blackberry. (report)
Anonymous (12/21): Apple is back with another whack. The iPhone just sucks just like the Ramones. All they ever had was the ipod which is now just a little freaking peapod. Now they come up and say Hey, look we have a brand new pod, but now it's buried in sod. (report)
Anonymous (12/30): I switched from a BB Curve (AT&T) to an Iphone about a month ago and have been very impressed with the unit. However, there are numerous shortcomings compared to the BB. Having changed PDA type phones several times I can honestly say that none of them are perfect. Regardless which one I've had, I have always craved features on another. Bottom line, at least with the Iphone the web browsing is PC-like, emails are easier to read, and the unit is down right cool. Whether or not I stay with Iphone long term depends on how quickly they fix their shortcomings. I'm hoping the February update will take care of some! (report)
Anonymous (1/11): I've used a BBerry Curve intensely for 30 days. Home user, no Enterprise. Mac. No joy. BBerry is nice but sync probs aggravate. Traded in for iPhone and in 1 hour all was fine, in fact perfect. I'll never switch back! (report)

your friend should rather put his wants, needs and expectations into writing. then collect all needed data of all brands he like. compare them side by side with his list and he will come out with the best of the list.

good luck to your friend.

Thanks for the headsup.

Yes, definitely that should be the case Sir Ebs. However the most attractive feature so far is the Black Berry Messenger which is free for BB users. Di na kailangan pang magbayad for text.

Yun daw ang isang reason. Other than that internet browsing and email di naman siguro gaano ka importante kasi lagi naman tayong nasa harap ng computer.

@ Pareng Boroyski - thanks din pre sa input. I will share this info.

with multimedia, iphone tops the blackberry.
but with connectivity, i guess blackberry is better.

i have experience with the first version of the iphone... walang tatalo sa laki ng screen for viewing pictures and browsing the net. ayaw ko lang talaga yung ganun kalaki na gadget na nasa pisngi pag tumatawag! no experience with the blackberry yet.

My friend went for an iPhone and I went for the Bold 9700.

I'm a huge Apple fan but with this one I passed. Not that I don't like it, I just don't feel like using a touch screen for now. I like that keyboard feel. Plus, with the email connections, I could easily reply to important message while on the go.

Plus, I am starting to love BBM. Add me here is my PIN: 21CBA87A

Master J, I think so can simply answer this question to help u decide... Business or Multimedia?

Business, of course, BB.
Multimedia, iPhone.

Whichever you prioritized the most, go for that phone.
