TOPIC: BB Gun in Thailand

BB Gun in Thailand 2 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 54
Any BB gun lovers here?

Back home in the Philippine I owned a .22 air gun rifle. Madam and I used to enjoy target shooting in our backyard. She can hit a 25 centavo coin at a distance of 30-50 meters. Kaya ingat na ingat ako dati he he he

But seriously, I am contemplating of buying one. Those of you who have visited us knows na yung neighbor namin dito ay adik sa BB gun. At dahil sa kanya para bumabalik ang magagandang alala ko sa target shooting.

I already checked out some models. Pero I am having second thoughts of buying a pistol or an assault rifle. Gusto ng pistol kasi kahit saan pwede mo madala but on the otherhand gusto ko ang feel ng assault rifle.

O ayun na naman ang neighbor namin. Akalain mo ba naman sa bahay may obstacle course?

Hi Master J,

You mean like the Photo below? I started this hobby last March because my son wanted to try it out. I have three M4s (2 CQB, and one Stubby). Might get a P90. These guns are called Airsoft Electric Guns or AEG. They come with a battery powered motor that drives a piston to spit out ceramic pellets. This is different from Paintball. Paintball guns do not look nice. Airsoft guns do. They are so realistic, it looks and weighs like the real thing. They cost anywhere from 5000 to 6000 baht for the basic Chinese-made models. Japanese and American made guns are much more expensive.

If you come to Chiang Rai again, I could take you to the BB Gun range, heh heh...Just make sure it is a Weekend. We have a competition here on the 1st of November.

If you record silence on a tape and then play it back with the volume all the way up, will that drown out the noise in the room?

Sir MDM,

This is the one! Good that you already have a teammate in your son (How is he now?) sir. Sa akin maliit pa 4 y.o. palang. Moral supporter lang muna siya.

Sir if you don't mind, what is the best model to have for a starter like me? I see a lot of gun models around Bangkok pero I don't know what to look for aside from their looks and feel. P90 looks futuristic while M4s parang SWAT ka talaga.

Kaya pala may mga 15,000 baht na models. Yun pala galing Japan at America.

But do people modify their guns to make it powerful also? How about the range and accuracy?

Competition? Wow ok yan. Sir, we are planning to go to Chiang Mai, di pa sure kung kelan but around Nov or Dec. I'll make sure swing kami diyan. Wanted to show the kids your museum as well.

For newbies, it is probably best to get a unit that is easy to use and has lots of parts. The more important thing is finding a shop where they have a good technician. My units have been slightly modified. I bought extra batteries (lithium polymer or lipo). I had the electronic system modified (something they call a Phase). The other thing that was modified was the spring where they added something to prevent the spring from breaking.

My unit fires around 24 pellet per second. some of the P90s shoot around 40. My unit shoots as around 360 feet/second. Usually, the maximum velocity allowed is 400 FPS.

Marui (japan) and Systema (US) are the more expensive units.

Most longer guns can shoot around 30 to 50 meters. These are the M4 carbine and M16. Usually, you shoot much closer than that. More fun too.. heh heh..

Buti na lang di gumana ang pagka impulse buyer ko. Last 2 weeks kasi, sa IT Mall Ratchada may sale. They let you hold the guns and tinker with them though no shooting nga lang. So kung bumili pala ako doon, malamang ngayon hirap akong maghanap ng shop na mapapaayusan ng unit na bibilhin ko. Di ko pa kasi ka close ang neighbor ko.

But wow, ganoon pala ka lakas ang baril sir? 24pps is a lot! And 360 fps is already quite a distance. Pwede na pala talagang gamiting armas sa bahay without the danger na mahuli.

Mukhang mas lalong na-eexcite na ako. Kailangan pala sali din ako at si Madam H sa Siam Pinoy Pa-Contest at nang makabili ng BB sa next month he he he

More information here. I suggest you go to one of the BB Gun ranges and ask people that play there for more information regarding which shops they go to, where they have their units serviced, etc. This is probably the best way of finding a where to go.

Playing here in chiang rai is super cheap. I heard that in Bangkok, people pay around 250 baht to play. In chiang Rai, we pay 40 baht.

there is a thread on the Thai visa forum regarding BB guns. The link is shown below. I believe Seacon Square has a shop. I know of a few other shops near China Town (Yaowaraj road).

Sir MDM,

I had a glance at the course today after coming back from Ayuthaya (another group tour he he he) and held the M4 and the Tank. Tulo laway...

M4 cost 8,500 while the Tank 12,500 and your P90 is 11,000 ata.

Getting excited na ako. Hope to get my money soon
