I read your blog awhile back, when you posted the link on your blog here in SP, i think that was right after or a day after her performance. I think it's great that you are writing about her; the more people write about her and her music, the better support she gets, especially even after her countless standing ovations in big, big events, she still gets haters. Tsk. Tsk.
Anyway, she says, she uses them to give her more strength.
Here's something to whet the appetite of those who follow her career and love her music.
She, undoubtedly, is now at par with all the young musicians, whoa re taking on the world by storm! Soon, Charice will not just be making waves, she'll be saucing tsunamis in the music industry, coz compared to all these young stars, she's got even more talent, and more charm and a genuineness that's rare!

First, I wore the wrong pair of shoes for our mission which was: to position ourselves at the best vantage point near the stage 3 hours before "she" arrived.
Second, I didn't do my research. It was too late in the day when my Bro in law said that local fans don't mind rushing the stage, regardless of who or what was in the way. Which meant that we could be bearing the brunt of a mad crowd crushing us against the media box/chairs.
Uh-oh!
Third, someone standing behind me started using the top of my head as her tripod. She casually placed both elbows on my shoulders and positioned her compact camera on my head. Really! Not satisfied with my services, she decided to use me as her sandalan when she got tired. She again ever so casually rested both arms on my shoulders and proceeded to lean on me.
I kid you not!
However, when Charice finally appeared on stage, I suddenly lost hearing in both ears. An estimated 2,000 people all started screaming, cheering, whistling, and clapping simultaneously within the confines of the by now cramped Siam Discovery Hall.
Flash bulbs flashed and the mob behind us started surging forward, first in waves, then in jolts. I pushed back with all my weight against the human tide, while keeping one or both eyes on the human Charice and her video wall counterpart. BTW, despite the video walls (3 of 'em) everyone wanted a glimpse of the flesh and blood tiny girl with the Mach 1 power voice.
My frail powers lasted only until the end of the interview and challenge/game. My feet were killing me so I took leave of my companions. They decided to quit as well. Never mind, I said, I just wanted to hear her live. As I turned to leave, I was surprised to see that every square foot of the Main Hall was occupied by a warm body. Young, old, Thai, Filipino, Farang, and all four genders! They were all there to hear The Voice.
The three of us started threading our way between and around the mass of humanity behind us. There was no respite or break in this labyrinth, there were fans and onlookers everywhere. We finally found a break in the crowd on the escalator, so we headed for the 2nd floor. One quick turn landed us in the reception area of Outback Restaurant which, thank the Universe, had empty benches for us to rest.
With my feet up on the bench, I heard the crowd outside continue to raise the roof as Charice sang one promotional song after the other, with quick spiels in between, to the approval of the crowd. I ventured back out into the hallways to take a peek at the action below.
There, to my amazement, I saw a sea of people with arms raised in worship toward the stage. Each hand clutched a cellphone, compact, or video camera recording Charice's performance for posterity! On the other levels, people were weaving in and out of the crowds, trying to maneuver this way and that to watch our Pinay Golden Girl sing and tenderly gesture. Many in the audience were precariously pressed against security glass railings, holding up signs announcing their devotion. The adoration was palpable and amazing.
All of us met up in a few minutes and picked our way around the Siam Discovery Atrium to beat the crowds that would start to disperse in a few minutes. We walked away from the Main Hall just as Charice was singing her last song and waving goodbye, yet again to roars and shrieks from the crowd.

Thanks for that, Beeps!
Grabe, hagalpak naman ako ng tawa dito sa part na to? Sino yun? Hindi ba niya alam na hindi pa kayo BFF para iallow niya sarili niya na gawin ang ganun?
