It must be authenticated by the embassy.

But it's no guarantee that it will be asked from you or that you won't be stopped from leaving Philippines this is based on what happened with the others whom either we directly or indirectly know. It's up to the immigration officers discretion.

Is there any alternative document just in case i wont be able to present an invitation letter? My intention is just to tour. Are all Filipino travelers or tourists required to present an invitation letter? what if they don't know anybody in thailand to send them an invitation letter?

as Master J mentioned already, an invitation letter is not a guarantee na makakalusot ka sa immigration sa atin. coming to Thailand as a tourist, you should be able to present yourself as a tourist... meron ka dapat roundtrip air tickets, enough money to support your stay here, itinerary - at least dapat alam mo kung ano gagawin mo dito sa Thailand at kung saan ka magstay.

Mate-test ko na yan sa 24 and I'm positive na I can get through it.
