Childhood memories, wanna share some? 2 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 56
Just reminiscing the past...

when I was a child at about 8, I read this "komiks: na may salawikain "Pag may itinanim, may a-anihin". That salawikain was with a caricature of a man planting coins and soon those coins grew of course as plants and the leaves as peso bills.

My innocence and curiosity stroke at once and I did plant COINS in my grandmas garden and made sure watering the "coins" everyday expecting the aanihin in days to come.

I was pretty sure about it, sooner I realized coins weren't plants and incapable of growing, kawawang bata! LOLOLOLOL!

These still made me laugh from time to time, can't help it! LOLOLOLOL!

summer vacation with my grandparents...

every summertime me and my cousin spent our vacation with my "mama and papa" at PAYAO BINALBAGAN. glorious days for us! (as we know grandparents treat us better than our parents?? hehheheh...) we get up early in morning with nice breakfast prepared by my mama then after we are headed outside to play. we had the whole barrio as our playground, the plaza, municipyo, schools and the simbahan including the vast fruit trees inside my grandparents lot! we climbed trees and picked fruits... tambis, chico, mangga, bugnay and santol.. if its too much for our consumption.. ehhehmmm we would go house to house trying to sell fruits with our relatives (of course they can't refuse cuties like us ). when our stomach are growling thats the sign that its lunch time. again my mama prepares everything for her apos. after a heavy meal its a must that we should stay home and take a nap or else no snacks! ( of course we just pretend that we are asleep) after 3 we are off again. our activities varies from time to time.. sometimes we play balay-balay, make up session, modeling, biking, hide and seek, piko, patentiro and much more.. the angulus was our signal to go home or go inside to pray with mama and para mag mano. i miss those days.. no worries.. and children now a days are missing alot. how funny.. when we were younger we wished to grow up and fast forwarding , now i just want to rewind everything and go back in those times ....

when i was a child i used to climb to our roof facing the big mango trees on vacant lot next door.

i heard the mango tree is the hangout of the fairies and the kapre and duwendes. so there was a bit of tension in me as the leaves dances as the wind sings and breeze.

i was watching my imagination like i was watching tv. awesome!

i remember going to bicol with my whole family, we would stay at my grand aunt's big, creepy, old house. it was a house made of stone. i remember a room without a roof, damage done by Mayon's eruption. me, my sisters, and cousins would scare each other every night. there were all sorts of creepy sounds. we would all sleep in the living room. and there was this old rocking chair that would scare the wits out of everyone whenever we hear a creaking sound in the middle of the night. nobody was really sleeping. we would sweat under the covers and just listen and scare ourselves. though we've never seen the chair rock.. we never really looked. hehe.. and there was the TUKO.. i remember keeping bawang and asin under our pillows for the ASWANG. and for some reason, we also have calamansi. i can't remember what it was for. i think to ward off the Tuko but i'm not really sure.. but i do remember how much fun we had and i just miss those times soooo much!!!

Last Sunday, I joined MJ in a BB Gun Assault game.

Thanks much isda, lyndyl, boroyski and buddhist punk,

Naaks, nakakamiss nga talaga those memories, more on the laro ba, we get friends and all on boroyski and seems you're giving a rebirth on that sa BBGun hobby this time, I'm happy for you.

On isda, you watched live shows with your imagination on the roof, cool, who knows you can be good at something related to that these times,I mean literature wise. tsaka wow ha, galing mo palang umakyat sa roof pa!how about mag raise the roof hehehe!

and on lyndyl that's spooky! Nyyaaaayyy!!! I can imagine takot din ako sa aswang noon, ngayon marami-rami na rin akong kinatatakutan hehhehe lolol! Seriously, I heard on ASIN and BAWANG also and yes, that kalamansi is new, no idea din if that scares off tuko! Good one! But wait, wasn't that a substitute for suka? well, ewan ko din for what ang vinegar hehehe.

Wow! BP you were very curious and seems the risk-taker type, galing pang bantay! What a skill! I can relate sa palo, I had my share also on those, hina lang nga lang, di naman masakit! lololol!

Thanks for the share, all, do appreciate them! those memories are really special!

Haha.. oh yeah.. now, i have other things to be afraid of too, MC!

Naalala ko rin yung aratiles! i remember we had a tree then. i would ask my cousins to get the fruits and we'll fill up the icetubig plastic with it. sarap nga nun!! now i rarely ever see aratiles.. I only stopped eating it when we moved. although there was a tree by my grandpa's grave, i didn't really have the appetite for it. hehe

And yung patintero, wow!! it was so much fun.. we used to play it at our school grounds.
and there's another game i loved but i can't remeber what it was called. dun kami sa aspalto na steps ng chapel that was really rough. something like land, sea, sky, big big sky! we had to start at the bottom of the stairs and had to work our way up depends on what our Taya would say. If it's only land or sea, no sweat. but if sky or big big sky, whew!!! let's just say i'd probably break all my bones now if i even try to do it again.
