And I once heard and always believed, “Humans were created in the likeness of God.”…but not in its entirety.

Where is the line drawn then?  I say that there is not just line but lines of differences where humans are overdrawn by the fact that they are just likeness and not the perfect images of God;  because they can and will never be God as they are only humans. We are only humans.

When we are wronged, we have the ability to react.  If we are ready to forgive, we become supreme; but when we choose to fight, we become enigmatic to the fact that we are like God.  We never question that fact anymore and we rather succumb to the naturalness of our being…we retort back.  It is okay because, again, we are just humans.

When we are hungry, we have the ability to feed ourselves.  If we are ready to suppress the hunger, we diet; but when we are asked to ignore the hunger in exchange of filling up the others, we instead embrace it to uplift our souls…we feed the more hungry.  It is okay because we find comfort in it and then, again, we are just humans.

And when we are hurt, we have the ability to hide the pain.  If we are ready to let go, we smile; but when we become oblivious to the pain, we interpret it as living…we continue to live…in pain.  It is okay, yes, because, we are humans and we like pains.

How many times have you given away yourself for others?  How many times have you been pained in those giving aways?  Have you learnt? Or have you went on to feel it more a hundredfold?

We are humans, yet we are just humans.  And our parity mindset is a liability because our quest to mimic God’s compassionate and forgiving heart will remain forever as a quest.  We can never be like Him.  We can only be Him when we flush out the idea that we are not humans but God in our own little ways.

So, when you are wronged, rectify the error.  Cry a river and become resolute to the pain! For God’s sake, pains exist to be subdued!  Of course you can pray, but pray that God helps you in the rectification process.  Don’t pray because you like God to absorb your pain.  It is your pain after all, not God’s because you are human and not God.

And, when you are hungry, feed yourself.  Be full in your spirit and mind not only your stomach but the whole of your being.  Feed your soul!  Feed your spirit and never forget to feed your mind!  But then again you can pray; pray that God gives you the satisfaction in your feeding technique.  It is your hunger after all, not God’s because you are human and not God.

Then finally, when you give, expect nothing not even love…BUT, AT LEAST, RESPECT even just a little of it.  Why?  Don’t ask me back!  Of course, you are human and you don’t like to be left behind.  That is human nature! Open your eyes wide.  Duh!
