113th Philippine Independence Day

June 12 marks the Philippines’ Independence from Spain. All throughout the world, where Filipino communities are found, a variety of activities are planned and put into action to celebrate our freedom from Spanish rule centuries ago.

This year, in Thailand, 3 big celebrations are being organized by the Filipino Community Organizing Committee (FCOC) as well as/in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy – the reception at the Four Seasons Hotel last June 9, 2010, the fiesta celebration at the Philippine Embassy today from 11am until 8pm, and the fashion show (Santacruzan) on June 17, 2010 at the Landmark Hotel.

Don’t miss these opportunities to enjoy the warmth of the Filipino community in Thailand, to sample the popular Pinoy dishes you must have missed, and to join in the fun!
