President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino visits Thailand

President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino’s visit to Thailand last May 2011 was a much awaited event by the members of the Filipino community.

On the 27th of May, President Aquino was in Kasetsart University to receive a Ph.D in Economics in Honoris Causa. He then addressed the audience there, which was made up of students, educators, deans, government officials from the Philippines and some members of the Filipino community, by citing the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.

After his conferment at Kasetsart University, President Aquino proceeded to the Shangrila Hotel to meet and address the Filipino community in Thailand.  Community members were glad to meet the Philippine President and to hear his good news about the Philippine economy.
