Part ONE
ONE THING I LOVE!
……….I LOVE CHANGE!!!
I've been saying this over and over as how I believe it. Indeed this week started a great CHANGE. Meeting such new bunch of individuals is inspiring especially since they are of different nationalities. Kinda fun to hear different accents and having classmates of various ages.
TESOL class is good, I should say. I have confidence in terms of teaching, but getting myself into something that makes me more effective is another one. The goal is to get another approach and methods directly yet getting into the complexities and details of it. Really interesting and worth learning!
On the other hand, had a good time spending quality time with one and then another one…….and more! Let me recall…..hmmmmm one from Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Uzbekistan and more from the UK and the US.
Change indeed of association and setting is healthy to the mind and heart. It opens for wider discovery and realizations. I am then looking for more!:)
Part TWO
RESTLESS
As I am most of the time. LOLOL! I've noticed lately that I'm mentally and physically unsettled after class. There is a feeling of wanting to go home right away to review, but once I get home, I desire to do something else. To connect.
Maybe just to moor the internet, and I just love to do a couple of things in one time, yeah, multi-tasking. Music is my soul as I do listen first thing then write or read along with it. And now, I find myself writing.
Perhaps I'm just adjusting in a way that this time I have been mentally challenged and I admit that there were a lot of cases where I found myself squeezing my brain hard yet being left short of getting what I wanted to attain.
Nonetheless, I should say it's beneficial. It takes me to think harder and exert more contemplating, analyzing and understanding things. It's not that I haven't done those ; however, speaking of degrees I'm just having more intense mentation as I used to.
Being a teacher is obviously different from being a student. It absolutely takes more thinking if one is a student. Basically, there is the element of surprise as to what will happen next in the session. One doesn't know also the direction he is heading and the whole aim of whatever activity he is doing.
On the other hand, the teacher prepares the whole thing; it is a matter of getting the plan into action and guiding the students to the direction one had pre-arranged. In short, less thinking on the mentor’s part yet more on the psychomotor aspect as to leading, monitoring and getting the students to the aims.
I'm restless because there is a change in my daily activities recently and this leads me to think harder. I love it though and as I have mentioned B-E-N-E-F-I-C-I-A-L – YES! That's the appropriate term. Well, I'm a student this time.
